Boy+Girl=Family

My husband and I have been together for quite some time. We met working together when I was a senior in high school, and I guess you could say I married my high school sweetheart.
Fresh faced out of school, I jumped on in and said yes when he proposed to me the summer after I graduated. We were married in October of 2007 and have since produced three children!
Our oldest daughter blessed our lives when I was just 18, and still a kid myself. I dealt with the ongoing criticizing looks from people thinking I was just another piece of teenage white trash. When our second daughter came just 18 months later, well let's just say the looks only became more amusing from there.
Baby number three is our only boy, and the last child we'll be having. He made his appearance one day before Husband and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary.
Marriage is not easy. It is one of the hardest things I've ever done. Both myself and my husband have screwed up, and at times we are reminded of our mistakes. Some have been monumental, and almost ended our marriage; others have been small day to day problems we've had to solve together.
We have been well off at times, and at others been at poverty level.
We have dealt with me staying home, and me having a job.
We have had 4 cars in 5 years.
We have been at the mercy of our parents.
We have learned that survival sucks.
We have lived in three places, the last being the first house we have bought.
We have loved and lost many different pets, and are finally on what I believe will be the last of our furbabies.
We have had achievements and failures, both individually and as a couple.
We have loved and hated.
Yet we have forgiven and moved on.
My husband is my best friend, and my rock. Without him, I have no idea who or what I would be. Perhaps a college graduate like so many I went to school with, but ultimately lonely and not fulfilling my dream of being a mother. I wouldn't know what it means to be a wife to an amazing man, that's for sure.
My children are my world, and no matter how frustrating they can be, their smiles are the only thing that keep me moving sometimes.

Meet the Family:

Monster S: A wild and strong willed Monster. Can daze you with her intelligence, and wow you with her skills of the likes of Houdini himself.
Monster L: The middle Monster, Master of sneak and the trickiest of Monsters. Can make you forget why you're mad with one big grin and her adorable baby blues.

Monster D: The littlest of Monsters, having yet to establish himself as a troublemaker. Runs his Mommy's life with an erratic sleep and eat schedule, but makes up for it by still being so snuggly.

Husband: The maker of the money, and quite possibly the most unstable family member. Why? Because he puts up with the craziest of us all. My better and completely necessary other half, without whom my stories would not be possible because he helped create these Monster children.

Then there's me, The Mommy Monster. Full of wit and charm, mixed with a large dose of crazy. With coffee in hand, I'm taking on this household, One Monster Mess at a time. Part time blogger, part time maid, full time Mommy and Wife. The kisser of boo-boos, and dryer of tears. Disciplinarian and Master of "The Look". So awesome, that I make Crazy look Cool.
